Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Hundreds of bomb trigger tools owned by PT Adaro were lost and police is immediately investigating the case.


"True, Wednesday (5/10) morning there has been a theft of detonators in one PT Adaro warehouse. We have submitted the case to the police for further action," said PT Adaro General Manager of External Relations Rizki Dartaman.

The impact of the incident, Adaro suspended blasting activities in a number of mine sites scattered in Tabalong, Balangan (south Kalimantan), and East Barito (Central Kalimantan).

Chairman of Commission I of the DPRD Tabalong Kusmadi Uwis in Tanjung on Friday stated the incidence of the loss of hundreds of bomb trigger tools owned by coal contracts of work (PKP2B) holder indicated there still a weaknesses in the security system for the vital object.

He said the security forces must immediately investigated and found the culprit that the detonators are not misused let alone to disturb security in South Kalimantan in particular, and the national in general.

Meanwhile, police responded quickly over the incident. A joint team of Regional South Kalimantan Police and Tabalong Police has been formed to investigate case of theft of detonators.

Head Ops of Tabalong Police AKP Arianto Fauzan said the search of suspects and evidence is still underway.

"Currently, the police have formed a joint team and intensively still looking for the perpetrators, including evidence such as detonators owned by PT Adaro," said Fauzan.
