Bandung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Two South Kalimantan female wrestler, Dina Mariani and Munirah, can only dedicated bronze medals at the National Sports Week (PON) XIX West Java on Sunday.


Dina, who represented South Kalimantan in 55kg freestyle won a bronze medal after beating Lampung wrestler Rusmini. While gold medals won by East Kalimantan and a silver medal for West Java.

Meanwhile, Munirah who played in 69 kg freestyle managed to get a bronze medal after beating the Banda Aceh wrestler Zainab. While Banten won the gold medal a silver medal gained by West Java athlete.

With the addition of these two bronze medals, South Kalimantan contingent already collected five medals from wrestling, namely two gold medals and three bronze medals.

According to the province head coach of wrestling H Santoso, South Kalimantan still has a chance to add medals in the next game, because there are ten athletes are not playing yet.

"We hope winning medal continues to be maintained in every game. To win gold medal is our spirit," he said.

Therefore, he continued, wrestling is targeting six gold medals, South Kalimantan has 18 wrestler to compete.

Chairman of South Kalimantan contingent H Gusti Perdana Kusuma stated, with the addition of two bronze medals from wrestling, then the total medals won are 21, seven gold medals, six silver and eight bronze.
