The Banjarmasin City Governmen-owned General Hospital of Sultan Suriansyah Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, has lauched 128-slice CT scanner service.
 
"Finally our hospital is able to provide a new service with this sophisticated device," said Mayor of Banjarmasin H Ibnu Sina when lauching the 128-slice CT scanner service at the Sultan Suriansyah General Hospital, Thursday.
 
He said the city government-owned hospital continues to show progress in providing health services to the public, so as not to far behind the well-known hospitals in the city.
 
According to him, the device has just been operationalized because it has just received permission from the Nuclear Energy Supervisory Agency (Bapeten).

"Hopefully it can be used as well as possible, especially since this service can actually be covered by BPJS and is very useful," he said.

128-slice CT scanner is able to scan the whole body in just seconds and produce outstanding 3D images of any organ. 

It provides with diagnostic information to differentiate between tissues and is said to make it easier to determine the disease.

Director of Sultan Suriansyah Hospital Muhammad Syaukani expounded that the CT-Scanner device was purchased through the 2022 Banjarmasin City Budget funds.
 
"We have two specialist doctors to handle the use of this 128-slice CT scanners," he said.
 
Sultan Suriansyah Hospital, which has been operating since 2019, said Syaukani, continues to improve with complete medical equipment and other facilities, including inpatient building.
 
The hospital, which was built adjacent to the Martapura River, has human resources of more than 500 people.
 
"We maximize the service with 17 poly," said Syaukani.
