Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The South Kalimantan Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded farmers exchange rate decreased by 0.33 percent in May 2016 compared to April 2016.


Head of Distribution Statistics of BPS Arih Dwi Prasetyo here on Thursday said the drop caused by the index price received by farmers fell.

"The index price received by farmers fell 0.19 percent and the paid farmers prices relatively smaller rise by 0.13 percent," he said.

NTP (farmers exchange rate) in May recorded 97.22, down 0.33 percent compared to April with a value of price farmers receive 0.19 percent and the paid index prices rose 0.13 percent.

Judging from the sub-sector, four of them experienced an NTP  decline and one sub-sector rose namely food crops by 1.42 percent.

Horticulture sub-sector fell 0.97 percent, livestock down 0.42 percent and fisheries fell 0.18 percent and folk plantation sub-sector rose by 2.38 percent.

Meanwhile, in May 2016 occurred inflation by 0.15 percent in rural areas of South Kalimantan due to rising price index in the sub group of food by 1.00 percent.

Sub housing group rose 0.85 percent, subgroups of clothing rose 0.09 percent, health up 0.17 percent, education, recreation rose 0.08 percent.
