Martapura, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Some 250 blind people in Banjar district receiving Digital Braille Quran (DBQ) handed over by Sheikh Ali Saleh Mohammad Ali Jaber and Regent Banjar Khalilurrahman.


"This assistance (in the form of) Digital Braille Quran is a real effort to provide equal opportunities to the blind," said Regent Banjar in Martapura, Sunday.

He said DBQ is a breakthrough that brings equality for blind persons in order to study and read the Quran.

"Through digital braille technology, the blind persons is easier to learn the Quran," he said.

By using QBD, he said, the blind can learn about the revelations of God contained in the Qur'an as a guidance to the human race.

According to him, every Muslim should have a strong passion for improving interaction with the Qur'an regardless of limitations.

"That limitation must not become an obstacle to pick up the guidance of Allah and achieve paradise later and the spirit of togetherness should be consolidated," said Regent.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Ali Saleh Mohammad Ali Jaber said the giving of Digital Braille Quran is to empower the blind and encourage greater enthusiasm.

"We want to contribute in their lives and in an attempt to be intelligent in religion. They have the same right to learn and love the Quran," he said.

In addition to DBQ aid, Sheikh Ali Jaber prepares Umrah program, education and training to the community.
