Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Banjarmasin City Sabhara police raided pool halls and cafes with reason to anticipate crime ahead of Ramadan.


"There are six points that raided by the police," said the Sabhara Police head Commissioner Saiful Bob in Banjarmasin on Wednesday.

The raid ahead of the holy month of Ramadan was made on Tuesday (24/5) night around 22:00 until 24.00.

Places checked were in between Royal Billiards, Double F, Gemini, King Billiards, Regen Cafe and Samosir Cafe.

"We found 10 men and women do not have ID cards," said the man who had just served as the Sabhara head.

During a raid at Samosir Cafe, police found a number of hard drinking. While the cafe owner allegedly does not have permit on selling liquor.

"All the results of the raid will be processed in accordance with existing law, if it meets the elements of a misdemeanor, it will be brought to court," he said.

Related to cafe owner who sold liquor without a permit he will be invoked in order to be examined and questioned.

Syaiful Bob kept saying, this activity also to address the intensification of the fights which always cause casualties. The raids is expected that perpetrator of crime or who want to commit a criminal offense will think not to do.
