Balangan Coal (BC) Companies is collaborating with the Balangan Business Incubator (Link-B) to produce local entrepreneurs who are resilient and dare to innovate through training and mentoring program.

Hukai Village, Juai subdistrict, became the first location for the dissemination in entrepreneurship carried out by Link-B.

“We want villagers to be interested in becoming tough and innovative entrepreneurs by participating in this guidance and mentoring program," said Saiful Arif from Link-B. 

He said, in addition to training, Link-B also provides assistance or consultation related to business problems that include marketing, production, and managerial.

Bisnis Model Canvas (BMC) was one of materials to provide knowledge for target villagers.

According to Balangan Coal CSR Section Head Heriansyah Rusli, courage is the key to success as an entrepreneur.

"Entrepreneurs must dare to learn and ask questions, dare to bear risks, dare to analyze profit and losses and dare to succed," he pointed out.

Heri added that entrepreneurial activities must be supported by the ability to see entrepreneurial opportunities, marketing, developing networking in business and execution.

"No matter how good all the strategies, they are meaningless if you don't have courage to take real step to execute creative business idea," he added.

Hukai Village Head Nurdin welcomed the socialization activities that motivate villagers to become new entrepreneurs.

Nurdin admitted that the village has many potential could become local business opportunities from mushroom cultivation, papuyu and tilapia fish biofloc, and sasirangan cloth making. This includes sewing training for villagers. 

Meanwhile, the existing businesses have various problems, rangng from marketing to cradtmen's skill to create quality products.

"Hopefully through this mentoring activity, it will be a way to advance village MSMEs," he hoped.

The program will be implemented in nine villages in BC's ring one area, including Gulinggang, Murung Abuin, Mantuyan, Sikontan, Piyait, Tundakan, Baruh Bahinu Dalam, Pamurus and Murung Ilung Village.
