Head of Distanbunak Banjar Dondit Bekti in Martapura on Sunday said land and ownership status is not a problem and ready to be farmed out.

"The land and the ownership status is not a problem, but we can not work alone to open the land. We ask the Army (TNI) for help to work," he said

300 hectares of the land has been surveyed in the form of Survey Investigation Design (SID) and ready to be opened into a new rice field.

"The remaining 700 hectares has not been surveyed and can not be farmed out. However, it will be done in the near future," he said.

In addition, the location is not in one overlay but spread sporadically impeding the opening of new land for the rice cultivation.

"However, we've got the information, Army soldiers ready to open the land even though they are under water but it can still be done and re-opened as soon as possible," he said.
