Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Head of Tabalong Youth, Sports, Culture and Tourism Agency (Disporbudpar) Zain Ramali said a total solar eclipse that will occur and can be observe in this district is the momentum of tourism.
"Total solar eclipse that will occur in the upcoming March 9 in Tabalong will be an attraction for tourists or outsiders to visit in view this very rare natural phenomenon," said Zain in Tanjung, Monday.
In welcoming this natural phenomenon, Disporbudpar conduct coordination meetings with a number of parties, including the Indonesian Ulema Council, local official of Ministry of Religious Affairs, the hotel management to traditional leaders to set up arts and cultural activities.
In addition to throwing the discourse of art show, Zain also delivered some locations of total solar eclipses observing points around the sub-district of Tanjung and Murung Pudak.
"There are several alternative locations we prepare to monitor the total solar eclipse in between Pendopo Bersinar and Islamic Center," said Zain, accompanied by Secretary ofDisporbudpar Tumbur Parulian Manalu.
Chairman of the Tabalong Indonesian Ulema Council Rasyidi reminded the sun covered or a total solar eclipse in some areas should not be used as a tourist attraction that should be greeted with a variety of art activities.
"As Muslims we are encouraged to perform solar eclipse prayers and dzikir when it occurs not to greet it with fanfare or entertainment," said Rasyidi.
At the time of a total solar eclipse occurred in Tabalong approximately at 7:24 pm then prayers begin to be implemented until the eclipse ended, Rasyidi added.
The same thing also delivered by the Heritage Foundation (Yayasan Pusaka) Chairman Firman Yusi who did not agree to special events like art performances simply to welcome this natural phenomenon.
In South Kalimantan Province, in addition to Tabalong, a total solar eclipse in 2016 is predicted to be seen in North Hulu Sungai and Balangan.
