Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A sand miner in the village of Sinar Bulan, Satui sub-district, Tanah Bumbu, found two firearms while doing mining.


"I was sucking sand, do not know why the pipe gagged. When checking, there was a white towel stuck in the pipe," said Bakri (27), sand miner in Satui, Monday.

He said, after the towel was removed and opened it turned out there were two firearms along with ammunition.

The discovery of two pistol occurred on Sunday (28/2) at around 16:00 pm in the Satui River, RT 03, Sinar Bulan village, Satui Sub-district.

The two pistol later brought home to be cleaned. Then, Bakri told it to his neighbor, H Ramli (75).

On Monday (29/2) morning at around 09.00 pm, Bakri and Ramli handed the firearms to the Satui Police.

Meanwhile, Satui Police Chief AKP Denny Catur acknowledged that two firearms have been received from villagers of Sinar Bulan.

"It is true that there were two residents handed two guns to us and informed that firearms were found when mining sand," he said.

According to Denny, one of the gun was FN type brand Panther Cal Walhen 3.2 cal made in Germany along with 7 bullets, while other was assembled pistol revolver type along with 19 bullets.

"The evidence have been submitted to the Tanah Bumbu intelligence and security unit for further investigation," said the man who is familiar with the media crew.
