Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Gas Engine Power Plant (PLTMG) Bangkanai project in Central Kalimantan now unfinished. The land to acquire is crossed by tower plant.
"PLTMG Bangkanai is still constrained by land acquisition, so it can not be operated," said GM PT PLN South and Central Kalimantan Purnomo in Banjarbaru, Sunday.
He said, PLTMG Bangkanai has a very big role for Barito Electrical Systems which oversees the electricity for two neighboring provinces of South and Central Kalimantan.
He mentioned the land acquisition is still constrained in eleven footprint for land owners put the price much higher than the official offer by the state company.
"The land is not free makes the tower can not be built, but we have approached community leaders and land owners until they release the land," he said.
In fact, he is optimistic that the construction of power plants with a capacity of 155 Mega Watts (MW) will be completed before August 2016 so it can enter the Barito Electrical System.
