Tanjung, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalimantan) - Forum Komunitas Hijau or Green Community Forum (FKH) Tabalong, South Kalimantan, held Green Festival with a variety of environmental activities, such as green school fairs and publications of Adiwiyata school.


At the Green Festival through green schools exhibition,  the public could see a variety of products from waste utilization and management.

"Our Green Festival held from 18 to 20 December with a variety of environmental activities, including art performances and workshops," said member of FKH Tabalong Firman Yusi in Tanjung on Saturday.

Environment workshop presented hydroponics and aquaponics by teachers of SMK 1 state vocational high school Murung Pudak. While utilization of methane gas and manure presented by senior high school SMAN2 Tanjung.

Green Festival committee chairman Nisa said the festival also introduced the profile of Adiwiyata school in Tabalong, namely SMAN 1 Tanta and elementary school SD Cakung Permata Nusa. The two were nominated to win national Adiwiyata award.

Green Festival held at the Pembataan Stadium Complex, Murung Pudak sub-district, was opened by the Head of the Economic Development Secretariat of Tabalong Noorzain A Yani.

"Green Festival activities certainly support local government programs to create green cities in Tabalong and communities can participate in the environmental conservation process and utilize waste wisely," said Yani.
