Deputy Minister of Health Dante Saksono Harbuwono said that the trend of daily COVID-19 cases had begun to decline at the national level, as seen from the decline in the effective reproduction number of the virus on all large islands in Indonesia.

In addition, the number of inpatients at hospitals is also decreasing, he noted. Currently, 60 percent of patients who are being treated are either asymptomatic or showing mild symptoms, he said.
