Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Aqua Terra satellites or Modis detected 59 hotspots in the district of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan.


"Based on the report from Data Center and the South Kalimantan Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) report, the hotspots are scattered in several sub-districts," said Head of Kotabaru's BPBD Irian Noor through the Disaster Management Section Head Sugeng here on Tuesday.

A total of 59 fires are detected by Aqua Terra satellite on Monday (12/10) at around 17.00.

He describes the number of hotspots in South Kalimantan detected by Modis 153 hotspots, and 59 of them spread across a number of areas in Kotabaru.

In addition to Kotabaru, hotspots were also detected in Banjarmasin 1 hotspots, Banjarbaru 2 hotspots, Banjar District 8 hotspots, Tanah Laut 27 hotspots, and Tanah Bumbu 31 hotspots.

Barito Kuala 11 hotspots, Tapin 6 hotspots, South Hulu Sungai 3 hotspots, North Hulu Sungai 1 hotspot, Balangan 1 hotspot, and Tabalong 3 hotspots.

Compared with the day before, the number is increased. In the previous period the number of hotspots across South Kalimantan as much as 49 points, 32 of them in Kotabaru and the information was updated on October 9 at 17:00.
