Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A missile fast ship belonging to the Navy on Friday anchored at the Trisakti Port Banjarmasin on its duty  to secure the area in the waters of South Kalimantan.


"South Kalimantan waters is one of strategic areas that often bypassed and visited by sophisticated warships," said Commander of Banjarmasin Naval Base Colonel (P) Haris Bima Bayuseto here on Friday.

South Kalimantan is in the second groove of the Indonesian archipelago and into the important waters, so that the missile ship is also providing security on its waters.

He said the quick ship missile named KRI Sampari-628 was well suited to address the security problems of the sea and islands frontline warfare.

Meanwhile KRI Simpari-628 Commander Marine Lt. Col. (P) Hreesang W said the ship is a fast boat and a special unit carrying missiles.

The ship systems work in war should be close to the target, then do a shot with the next missile to quickly turn away and abandon the target.

"This KRI was only 1.3 months. The warship including the quick attacker ship with minimal body vessel so that it can move nimbly over the waters," he said.

KRI Simpari-628 left Banjarmasin on Sunday (11/10) afternoon. So, he added, to the people who want to visited to be welcomed on Saturday (10/10).
