Free public transportation as one of the priority programs of the government of Tabalong continues to receive assistance from the private sector.
One of them is PT Adaro Indonesia and partners by adding a fleet of urban transportation for students and the general public.
A total of four city transportation cars were handed over by the Adaro's Head of Mining Engineering Suhernomo and External Relation Division Head Thoha to Tabalong Regent Anang Syakhfiani during the celebration of the district's 56th anniversary, Tuesday (Dec 7, 2021).
"Procurement of free transportation cars is a form of cooperation between the regional government and PT Adaro Indonesia and its partners," said Suhernomo.
Similar assistance was also provided by Adaro's partner PT Bukit Makmur with one unit of car.
Head of the Tabalong Transportation Agency Tumbur P Manalu expressed his appreciation for the assistance to add the fleet of free transportation.
Now the district has as many as 36 units of free transportation in the form of APV cars that are operating in the central, north, and south of Tabalong.
"Besides the APV car, we previously received the assistance of two buses from the central government," said Tumbur.
