Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A more dense haze polluted the air of Banjarmasin, Banjarbaru, Banjar, Barito Kuala and Tanah Laut, which known as Banjarbakula, South Kalimantan, on Sunday.
At about 7:00 to 9:00 smog thicker than the previous days. In the vicinity of Jalan A Yani Km 17-30 which is entered the district of Banjar and Banjarbaru smog causing maximum viewing distance of only 500 meters.
In the area of Syamsudin Noor Airport (27 kilometers north Banjarmasin), on a typical day from the highway people could see aircrafts parked on the apron, but that morning smog obstructing view.
Drivers reduced their speed and turned on the lights to avoid traffic accidents.
Similarly, in the area of Jalan Trikora which is an alternative way of Banjarbaru-Banjarmasin, thick smog caused car drivers and motorcyclists reduced speed. A number of motorcyclits put masks so as not to breathe polluted air a lot.
Hj Nurul (62), a resident of the city of Banjarmasin, said her chest pain and breathing rather heavily by the attack of smog lately.
"Maybe because of the polluted air of smog, mychest pain and breathing discomfort," said the grandmother of two grandchildren.
Meanwhile some areas in Banjarbaru, such as around Jalan Aneka Tambang and Trikora, as well as Jalan Gubernur Syarkawi and Jalan Gubernur Soebardjo traces of burning bushes seen.
