Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalimantan) - Head of Livestock Development of the Tanah Laut Livestock Agency Lukman Efendy said technical implementation unit of cattle market in the district is the only one in Kalimantan.
"The only one in Kalimantan which has cattle special market only Tanah Laut," said Head of the Livestock Development Lukman Efendy in Pelaihari, Tuesday (1/9).
According to him, with the only cattle market makes the central government through the Directorate General of Livestock interested in developing the cattle farmers in four districts, including Tanah Laut.
Cattle development of the central government to the Tanah Laut, he said, in the form of folk farm centers (SPR), in particular the development of cattle, to be realized in 2015.
Requirements to be a SPR is in one area which have a minimum of 1,000 cattle.
For Tanah Laut, he said, the requirement was not difficult because there are some sub-districts here meet the requirements. If the requirement is fulfilled, then the central government will facilitate farmers through state funds.
Responding to the wishes of the central government, the local Animal Husbandry Agency has prepared two SPR, which are in the sub-district of Takisung and Pelaihari.
Relating to the realization of the plan of SPR in Tanah Laut, he said, the central government will call regent for livestock development plan dessimination. Then next step is cooperation between regent and university that already appointed by the central government.
