After successfully reducing the stunting rate to 6.41 percent, Tanah Laut targets to carry on pressing the rate to zero percent.
“In 2020 the rate was 10.67 percent, then it was suppressed to 6.41 percent by 2021. We target to reduce it to 5 percent by 2022, and we hope to press it optimally until it reaches 0 percent,” said Regent HM Sukamta who was represented by Assistant for Economic and Development Akhmad Hairin as he officiated socialization for the 2021 family data collection at the yard of Pertasi Kencana Stadium, Pelaihari, Wednesday(27/10).
According to Hairin, the mandate to reduce stunting is directly from President H Joko Widodo, thus the Tanah Laut government needs full support from all levels of society in the district.
Meanwhile, the Assistant for Village Family Planning (PPKBD) of Pemuda Village, Pelaihari Sub-district, Siti Zuhnah Amini admitted that she was grateful for the success of family data collection (PK-21) in Tanah Laut.
She hoped that the data collected by officers could provide a portrait of family participation in family planning and the level of stunting in an area as well as the health condition of families in Tanah Laut.
Present as the resource person was Regional Inspector II BKKBN Sunarto, also attending Chairman of Commission I DPRD Tanah Laut H Abdullah, Head of South Kalimantan BKKBN, Head of South Kalimantan Indonesia Midwives Association, Head of Indonesian Ulema Council for South Kalimantan, and Head of Tanah Laut office of Religious Affairs Ministry.
