Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Police Investigators uncover five cases of mugging (known here as jambret), which became one of the first 100 working days of National Police chief.


"There are five jambret cases that we handle during the first 100 days work of the National Police chief," said Chief Criminal unit of Banjarmasin Police Kombes Wildan Alberd SIK here on Tuesday.

The handling of jambret cases were included in the work program of Task Force II Banjarmasin Police in charge of eradication of thuggery and street crime since April 20 to July 29, 2015. The mugging occurred on April 9, April 22, May 18, May 28, and the last occurred on July 28.

In the investigation, police found seven actors of mugging. The status of all perpetrators have been upgraded to suspects. They are now detained in East Banjarmasin Police cell, because the Banjarmasin Police Detention being renovated.

"Investigators have been charging all actors with Article 365 of the Criminal Code on theft with violence that penalties are 12 years imprisonment," he said.
