Three athletes from North Hulu Sungai (HSU) District, Noor Hidayatullah, Padli Tanor, and Halida Ulfah, who represented South Kalimantan, yan mewakili Kalsel masing-masing berhasil meraih medali perak dan perunggu at the XX National Games (PON) 2021 in Papua.

Noor Hidayatullah won a silver medal in the men's 8ball double and men's 9ball double in billiards, Padli Yanor won a silver medal in rowing in kayak 4 in 500m, and Halida Ulfah won a bronze medal in the women's 20.000-meter brisk walk.

HSU Regent Abdul Wahid HK here on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, could not hide his pride and joy after hearing the news.

"Of course I feel very proud of the achievements made by the three sons of the North Hulu Sungai who represented South Kalimantan at the XX PON in Papua. They have made a good name of HSU at the national sports level," he said.

Wahid said congratulation and gratitude on behalf of himself, the government, and the HSU people. He hopes that in the future there will be more athletes from HSU who achieve national and even international achievements.

Meanwhile, Halida Ulfah when contacted by the HSU Diskominfo crew acknowledged that she was grateful to be able to win a bronze medal in her first participation in the National Games (PON).

"I am very grateful to Allah Subhanahu WaTa'ala for my current achievement because it is the first time I compete in the biggest sporting event in Indonesia and I can donate a medal for South Kalimantan Province," she said.
