Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A total of 21 heads of family left homeless by a fire in the area of Kelayan B Complex 10 Gang Pattimura, South Banjarmasin.
"The results of our data collection about 21 families left homeless by fire on Monday (13/7) night at about 21:10," said South Banjarmasin Police Chief AKP Tuschad Cipta Herdani through the Head of Criminal Unit Ipda Sugiyanto here on Tuesday.
Police could not confirm the cause of the fire. However, provisional estimates, from the testimony of several residents, the fire broke out due to electrical surge.
"Losses due to fire, according to the statement of the chief of the local neighborhood is estimated to Rp1 billion," he said.
South Banjarmasin Police appealed to learn from this tragedy, expected residents to be alert to the danger of fire that could occur at any time due to the negligence or other things.
