Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The government of Banjarmasin will evict hundred of houses located along the riverside of Martapura for the sake of the continuation of revitalization or construction of embankment.


Head of Governance Agency (Tapem) Iwan Ristianto here on Saturday said the houses would be evicted located along the river are in Muara Kelayan or at Jalan Pekauman, South Banjarmasin.

"There are 117 houses will be evicted in that area. We as a team to disseminate land acquisition," he said.

Iwan said the acquisition plan to starts this year, with a starting step of socialization and measuring land of each citizen. "It is to determine the amount of compensation of land and building will be evicted, and the independent land price assessment teams are already at work," he said.

This year Banjarmasin City Government has prepared Rp10 billion for land acquisition which is estimated to total area of  about two hectares.

According to Iwan, land acquisition will be done gradually, if they can not be resolved this year will continue in the next year.
