PT Maruwai Coal, a subsidiary of Adaro Metcoal Companies (AMC), handed over 5,.000 packages of masks and vitamins worth Rp375 million to the Murung Raya District Health Office, Thursday (August 27, 2021).

External Relation Departement Head of PT Maruwai Coal Fery Basrah said that the assistance was a form of the company's concern for people who were undergoing self-isolation.

“This is a form of our concern to help our brothers who are struggling to recover," said Fery.

Adaro Group, since the beginning of the pandemic, has been committed to supporting the handling of COVID-19 in Indonesia, especially in their operational areas.

The mask aid was chosen to invite the public to always be disciplined in applying health protocols.

While vitamin assistance was expected to increase the immunity and endurance of residents in their self-isolation at home.

Deputy Regent of Murung Raya Rejikinoor SSos, who directly received the assistance, expressed his appreciation for the support of PT Maruwai Coal and parters.

The assistance was very useful for residents in self-isolation, especially in the midst of the current scarcity of medicines and vitamins.

“We thank you for the active role and response of the company in helping the government handling the COVID-19," said Rejikinoor.

Separately, Adaro Energy's CSR Department Head Zuraida Murdia Hamdie said collaboration and solidary inter-elements were the main keys in fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic.

"This mask and vitamin package is a synergy between Adaro and Relawan Anak Bangsa (RAB)," she said. RAB is a social action movement run by Wahana Artha Foundation, together with 36 large companies in Indonesia who are also committed to helping the government and community in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
