Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Tanah Laut District Government strives for the development of seaport Swarangan in Jorong  Sub-district, continue to the next stage.


"We are still awaiting a decision letter from the Governor of South Kalimantan on the authority of the land acquisition of 100 hectares in the port location," said Head of Sea Transportation, from Transportation, Communications, and Information Technology Agency M Rahmadi on Thursday.

According to him, by decree of the governor it will be designated the conduct of land acquisition, either the Province Governance Bureau or the district. After that, land acquisition team immediately moved to carry out the task to launch construction of the sea port.

"If the decree of the Governor pointed District's Governance, we have prepared a compensation amounting to Rp32 billion more for the 100 hectares," he said.

He said, the next step will be clear land for the planned construction of roads in and out of the harbor.

Separately, local legislators Isna Wangsih Endang questioned the continuation of the construction of Seaport in Swarangan.

"Realization of the construction of seaport greatly impact the Tanah Laut, especially in the fields of industry, services and others," he said.

Meanwhile, Regent Bambang Alamsyah confirms Tanah Laut entry in the national development strategic supported by central government for the development of seaports, railroads, and steam-fueled power plant construction.
