Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Tiga Roda brand cement producer PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk Tarjun to replant mangroves in the mangrove forest in the village of Langadai, Sub-district Kelumpang Hilir, Kotabaru.
Indocement Plant Tarjun Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department Head Teguh Iman Basoeki said there are three types of tree seedlings to be planted in the mangrove forest, the mangrove (Rhizophora SP), api-api (Avicennia marina), and langadai.
"We have prepared 3,000 seedlings to be planted in the mangrove forest. The rest to be planted by local people," he said.
The mangrove forest planned to be replanted about 24 hectares around the village of Langadai, which are located around the company Indocement Tarjun.
In addition to repairing the damaged forest areas, the planting is an effort to develop re-organisms in the mangrove areas which had been lost, as well as being one of the natural attractions in the area.
Previously in 2014 Indocement planted 10,000 mangrove seedlings SP Rhizophora species around the area of ??the company.
"Planting mangroves in commemorating World Environment Day is a form of seriousness of the company to participate in protecting and preserving the environmental balance," said General Manager Operation Indocement, Koh Seong Joong.
Hopefully, with the planting of mangrove can be a barrier of tidal waves, including maintaining the cleanliness of the mangrove area from non-organic garbage.
