PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk Plant Tarjun in Kotabaru District, South Kalimantan, carried out COVID-19 vaccination for its employees through the Gotong Royong vaccination program.

General Manager Operation of PT Indocement Plant Tarjun Retnawan Widhiantoro said on Wednesday that the vaccination was a form of management's effort to provide comprehensive protection for all employees in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Indocement has registered all of its employees since the independent vaccination program opened in early February 2021," he noted in a press release received in Kotabaru, Wednesday.

This is a form of Indocement's commitment and real action to break the chain of the COVID-19 pandemic, he said.

The implementation of the private Gotong Royong vaccination program, he said, cannot be separated from the cooperation that Indocement established with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin).

"All employees of Indocement Plant Tarjun, who have been vaccinated, are expected to continue to apply strict health protocols," the GM of PT ITP Tbk Plant Tarjun pointed out.

SHECSR Department Head H. Teguh Iman Basuki, through Health Section Head Ahyadi, said this independent vaccination was carried out for 760 employees for two days in collaboration with Ciputra Mitra Hospital Banjarmasin as a vaccinator.

Chairman of Workers Union of PT ITP Tbk Plant Tarjun Winarno said he was very grateful to be able to get the first vaccine, so he felt safer and no longer worried about his activities.
