Amuntai, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A high school in the district of North Hulu Sungai, South Kalimantan, prepares engine generator power to anticipate outages, so that the implementation of national exam with online system remains smooth.


"We are applying National Examination (UN) with system Computer Based Test (CBT). In order it remains smooth, we set up an engine generator to anticipate the possibility of blackouts," said Principal of State Vocational High School (SMKN) 2 Amuntai, Falak Suryadi, here on Monday.

Falak said his school is one of three vocational schools in North Hulu Sungai (HSU) applying computer based national exam which begin in 2015.

During this time, he continued, the process of learning and teaching in SMKN 2 still uses a generator, but as the use of computer facilities simultaneously by students during the UN take up to three days ahead, it is necessary to add one generator for backup.

"As many as 211 students of SMKN 2 takes part in computer based national exam with 20 units of computer facilities. They were divided into four test chambers and with 3 shifts every day," he said.

Falak admitted by applying CBT system on UN this year at school, it help students to answer questions more quickly and practical examination.

"If the computer is off by itself or power outages, their answers not lost because the CBT system running` auto save` or storage automatically," he said.
