Head of Tanah Laut Health Office Hj Nina Sandra said that COVID-19 cases in the district had shown no significant dip.
"There is an indication of negligence in implementing health protocol in the community," she said on Thursday.
Currently based on the data, she mentioned, there were 239 patients being treated for COVID-19 as of May 6, 2021.

Nina hopes people are not getting bored to continue to apply health protocols, so that the potential spread of COVID-19, especially before and after Idul Fitri 2021 can continue to be reduced.
"We understand that people are getting bored because this pandemic has been going on for more than a year. However, we have never stopped to appeal for the discipline of health protocols to be carried out, so we can break the COVID-19 and it quickly passes," said Nina.

To avoid a spike in COVID-19 cases, Nina said, it is necessary to oversee people's movement during Eid through micro-scale activity restriction (PPKM) that has been implemented by the government.
"During Eid, residents will visit relatives or unconsciously shake hands with neighbors. Even though we don't know, we could be exposed to COVID-19 and pass it on to other people," she reminded.
