Bank Indonesia (BI) Representative Office of South Kalimantan announced that BI now opens an exchange service for the special commemorative Rp75,000 bill which was issued to celebrate to Indonesia's independence. 

"This special edition of commemorative Rp75,000 bill was issued to celebrate Indonesia's 75th Independence Day last year. Initially, it was very limited, now you can exchange 100 bills per ID card (KTP) at one time," said Deputy Head of BI South Kalimantan Representative Rahmat Dwisaputra.

He was speaking after opening Socialization and Education of Love, Nation, and Understanding of the special commemorative Rp75,000 bill and Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) at Rattan Inn Hotel Banjarmasin, Wednesday.

"We assured in the socialization that the Rp75,000 denomination is legal means of payment, but if you want you can collect it because this money is a special edition," he said.

According to him, the Rp75,000 denominations has been printed in a large number, it is no more a rare bill.

"Please come to BI if you want to exchange the Rp75,000 denomination, but only a maximum of 100 pieces for one ID card," he said.

Rahmat Dwisaputra in the socialization told the public about the importance of protecting money. Take good care of rupiah, keep it not to be worn, love it," he said.
