Some 2,600 doses or 260 vials of the COVID-19 vaccine arrived in Tabalong District under police escort, Thursday (Mar 18, 2021). The district government has scheduled to inoculate army and police personnel, and civil servants today.

The vaccine was brought to the Health Office's Pharmacy Warehouse in Maluyung, Mabuun Urban Village, Murung Pudak Sub-district.

Head of the Tabalong Health Office Taufiqurrahman Hamdie said that in addition to vaccines, there were also 2,700 0,5 ml syringes, 27 five-liter paper safety boxes, or 2,700 alcohol swabs.

The government has scheduled to carry out vaccination for public service today (Friday, Mar 19, 2021). 

“The vaccine will be given to public services, such as army (TNI), police (Polri), and state civil apparatus (ASN),” explained Taufik.

Previously, the first dose had been given to 1,400 public servants.

The government spokesperson for organizing vaccination Gusti Judid Ikhsan Permana said that out of 1,437 targets health workers as many as 1,528 people or 106.33 percent had been vaccinated.

For the second dose, as many as 1,356 health personnel or 94.36 percent are targeted to get the COVID inoculation.
