Coronavirus spread again in Tabalong District as 11 residents were confirmed positive for COVID-19.

The government spokesperson for COVID-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force Taufiqurrahman Hamdie said the positive patients were spread in the sub-districts of Tanta  4, Tanjung 2, Murung Pudak 2, Kelua 1, Haruai 1, and Jaro 1.

"They are now undergoing treatment," Taufik explained.

The report of the new cases of COVID-19 should be of concern to all elements of the community in 'Bumi Saraba Kawa' (nickname of Tabalong) to keep applying health protocol.

Meanwhile, the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination in Tabalong has entered the second phase targeting members of the army and police (TNI/Polri), health personnel, and public service.

A total of 230 vials or 2,300 doses of the Sinovac vaccine were prepared in the Pharmacy Installation Warehouse of the Tabalong Health Agency.

A spokesperson for vaccine organizer Gusti Judid Ikhsan Permana said that vaccination had been given to 1,419 health workers in the first phase or 98,75 percent of the first dose.

While the second dose reached 1,199 people or 83.44 percent.
