The Center Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded a large enough dip in South Kalimantan's export and import in January 2021 compared to the previous month.
Head of South Kalimantan BPS M Edy Mahmud here on Tuesday said that the export value in January was recorded US$540.54 million down by 2.92 percent from December 2020 export.
"While the import value in January 2021 was US$30.84 million or decreased by 41.05 percent compared to December 2020 with a value of US$52,31 million," he said in a press statement.
The mineral fuel group (HS27) was the most exported with a value of US$402,44 million and the largest export destination country was China US$269,80 million.
The second was fats and animal/vegetable oil group contributed US$97,44 million, followed by wood and good from wood group US$13,88 million.
Meanwhile, the most imported goods are from mineral fuel group (HS27) US$25,43 million and the largest import from Malaysia US$23,44 million, then marine vessel, machinery/mechanics (HS84), group of organic chemistry (HS89), and group of salt, sulfur, and lime (HS 25).
