Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The South Kalimantan Mines and Energy Agency will immediately raid restaurants for utilizing 3-kg LPG canister.


Head of Mining and Energy Agency Kustono Widodo here on Wednesday said the raid conducted in an effort to overcome the scarcity of 3-kg LPG canister which is happening now.

"We will ask assistance police to help carry out raids throughout the restaurant which utilizes 3-kg LPG," he said.

In the raid, he added, will be prompted to businesses to replace subsidized LPG with 12 kilograms liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

Regional Secretary of the Provincial Government, Arsyadi, called on people who are not entitled to take advantage of subsidized LPG, including civil servants, not to use gas that is reserved for the needy people.

The 12 kg LPG price increases from Rp120.900 to Rp143.900 per canister and many consumers allegedly switching to 3-kg LPG canister, because the price is much cheaper.
