The social enterprise Kriya DU' ANYAM from East Nusa Tenggara has won the 2020 Bangga Buatan Indonesia (BBI) or Indonesia Pride for the category of Kriya (craft) from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
DU' ANYAM's success cannot be separated from the contribution of the government of North Hulu Sungai (HSU), South Kalimantan, and its purun weaving craftsmen.
DU' ANYAM founder Hanna Keraf admitted the achievement of the 2020 BBI Award to the Chairwoman of The North Hulu Sungai chapter of the National Handicraft Council (Dekranasda HSU) Hj Anisah Rasyidah Wahid through online communication.
"Thank you to all parties, including the District Government of North Hulu Sungai, who have been collaborating with us and the craftsmen who have provided their handicraft products to DU'ANYAM," she said.
Hanna said, the award received by DU'ANYAM on the night of the 2020 BBI Award which was handed over by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Wishnutama Kusubandio on Sunday (Dec 6, 2020) at the ICE BSD, South Tangerang.
She explained that DU'ANYAM has provided training and assistance to groups of purun weavers in four villages in HSU, namely Pulantani, Tuhuran, Tambak Sari Panji, and Murung Panggang.
"Thank you the craftsmen of HSU who always welcome us warmly and enthusiastically, and leave some handicraft products to DU'ANYAM in the hope that we will succeed in getting the achievements," said Hanna.
The Dekranasda HSU Chairwoman Hj Anisah Rasyidah Wahid in their communication also expressed her gratitude to DU'ANYAM for providing guidance and training to the craftsmen in HSU.
"Congratulation on the award you have received, hopefully, our craftsmen who have received DU'ANYAM guidance will be creative and able to penetrate the international market," said Anisah.
