Adaro Metcoal Companies (AMC) kept its commitment to paying attention to communities around the mine by consistently collaborating with the government of Murung Raya District, Central Kalimantan.


Through Social Agency, which is also part of the COVID-19 Task Force, AMC handed over 3,000 basic food packages for 16 villages spread acroos the Laung Tuhup Sub-district and Barito Tuhup Raya Sub-district, Saturday (5/12).

AMC External Relation Department Head Dr Ing Ignatius Iryanto said his party always coordinates with Social Agency since the beginning of planning, especially regarding determining the number of potential beneficiaries, as well as to avoid overlapping similar activities or programs with the government or other third parties.

It is hoped that the assistance will be effective and right on target for residents who are in dire need.

“This assistance is expected to be able to contribute to the handling of the impact of COVID-19 in the economic sector, and in the short term to meet the food need and household consumption of the affected people," said Ignatius Iryanto.

He expressed his gratitude for the full support of Murung Raya government, especially Social Agency together with the Sub-district of Batura and Laung Tuhup in the process of coordination with the target villages.

The AMC's action received positive respond from vaarious parties, especially the beneficiary community.
