Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The rain finally fell in the capital of South Kalimantan. Some parts of the city has seen rain, yesterday.
Sunday afternoon or after Asar prayers heavy rains fell, but the rain fell unevenly or only a relatively small area that is experiencing rain and short-lived only about five minutes.
Showers are only briefly occurred in a minority village of Basirih and Mantuil, South Banjarmasin, and other areas in the "City of a Thousand Rivers". While most areas of the city of Banjarmasin still dry, like the area around the rice fields and village Kelayan and Pemurus Dalam, the land still looks cracked.
Residents Banjarmasin rejoice with the fall of rain, which has been long-awaited. Despite the rain only lasted a few minutes and many plants still dust-covered.
H Supoan Hadi, a resident of Pekauman, South Banjarmasin, saying only briefly rain feared will accelerate Martapura River water salinity, as experience so far. While lately the water on the upstream side have started hanta (less tasty).
