Rubiyannor, an office worker, enjoys planting in the yard.

“At first there was doubt, could we, office people, do it. But we did. The result is for family's needs, also support household activities, and we can share lettuce, pak choi, mustard greens with neighbors,” he said.

Not only him, some of his colleagues, Ruby Mario, Dewi, and Dadang, who are also Adaro employees, are doing urban farming carrying the Ponikku (My Hydroponics) flag.

Rubi wanted to dismiss the notion that office workers could not garden. The proof is he and his friends have broken that assumption.

“So I just want to say that not all office people are lazy about gardening, this depends on each individual,” he said.

Gardening activities are also a mood booster to be productive. 54-year-old Yuni, a housewife who is undergoing physical therapy, expressed that she was bored with social restriction and her physical therapy requires her to move, and gardening has become
an encouragement.

“Gardening brings many health benefits, not only physically, but also psychologically, body and soul feel healthier,” said Yuni.
