The University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) seeks to arouse the interest of rural communities to study at the university, without worrying about cost as it provided various scholarship they can obtain.

Head of the ULM's Cooperation and Public Relation Sitti Aisyah, SE was speaking when she disseminated ULM scholarship programs in Samuda Village, Belawang Sub-district, Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan. 

She conveyed the general introduction of ULM. She explained that there are three paths of entrance for prospective students, namely SNMPTN, SBMPTN, and Mandiri (independent). 

ULM, which is currently accredited A, has 11 faculties with 64 undergraduate programs, 3 programs of diploma, 12 professional and specialist programs, 24 master programs, and 1 doctoral program with a very extensive global network. 

ULM has also various international programs and various scholarships. The facilities provided by ULM are complete to support student learning and achievement. 

"The ULM current achievement is very encouraging. ULM is ranked 47th out of all universities in Indonesia and ranked 64th in the Ranking Web of Universities (Webometrics)," she said.

Aisyah also emphasized that ULM nowadays in the best university in Kalimantan, and is the best choice for those who wish to continue their study to a higher level.

A detailed discussion of scholarship was explained by Head of ULMStudent and Alumni Development Zuhra Zuraida. Among the various scholarship provided are KIP Kuliah (formerly Bidik Misi) and PPA. There are terms and conditions to apply for the scholarship. 

With the various scholarship provided, then the economic limitation should no longer be a barrier for those who want to study. 

In addition, the availability of dormitories for students will make it easy and assist students from outside the region in matters of economy and accommodation.

The activity was the closing of series of “Banua ULM” community serice from the Department of Social Affairs of the Partner Village Development by the ULM Student Executive Board (BEM).

Other activities of Banua ULM included environment investation (hand out of 1,000 tree seeding), BEM GTS (online learning assistance counseling), healthcare, public speaking, creative training (such as making masks), making library room and natural hand sanitizer.
