Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Tanah Laut Regency government will renovate 238 houses for poor residents in three villages in Subdistrict Batu Ampar, said Head of Community Empowerment and Village Government (BPMPD Tala), Hairul Rizal.


"Home renovation for poor people will be starting on Wednesday (17/9).  The launching will be made by Regent H Bambang Alamsyah and Muspida (local consultative forum) elements," said Hairul Rizal in Pelaihari, Tuesday (16/9).

House makeover (popularly known as Bedah Rumah) activities is the assistance of the Ministry of Public Housing. One home repairment assisted with Rp7.5 million.

"The makeover depends on homeowners, but in practice it remains in BPMPD supervision," he explained.

Hairul Rizal said, 700 houses proposed for renovation in 2014 to the Ministry, however only 238 houses approved.  "We are grateful, Tanah Laut district in 2014 get help as many as 238 homes for a renovation," he said.
