Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Economic growth in Tanah Laut District in 2013 on top of the national economic growth, said Vice Regent Drs H Sukamta in Pelaihari, Tuesday (26/8).


"The national economic growth in 2013 was 5.4 percent, while the economic growth of Tanah Laut was six percent. Given this fact, the growth in our area at the top of the national," said H Sukamta.

According to the vice-regent, the rise in economic growth in Tanah Laut can be seen from the establishment of public and private banks. In addition, the amount of cash-flow in a month in this area is quite high.

Economic growth in this area is also influenced by the industrial sector, mining and plantations.

The improvement in economic growth in the area, he said, will be a positive impact on the progress of the region, especially in the field of health, education and infrastructure which strongly felt by community.
