Paringin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Dozens of cattle owned by farmers in Paringin, Balangan District, took part in cows contest in an effort to capture super seeds while enhancing cattle population in the area.


Head of the Balangan Agriculture, Horticulture, Livestock and Fisheries (PTPHPP) Agency Tuhalus here on Wednesday, said the local government realized that the nursery is an important part of the overall livestock development.

PTPHPP held a cattle contest in the field of State High School (SMAN) 2 Paringin, Subdistrict of South Paringin, with the aim of increasing the container once cattle ranchers passion networking superior breeding stock, and efforts to accelerate the increase in the cattle population.

"This contest also serves as an evaluation of rural development in the nursery development, which we have done so far," he said.

The Balangan Assistant II on Economic Affairs, Akhmad Fauzi, said the contest has become one of the development of beef cattle and their nursery. According to him, the market share of cattle in South Kalimantan are still widely available in quite a long period of time, both in and outside the region.
