During Ramadan Police Arrested 300 Motorcycles

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - During Ramadan, Banjarmasin Police detained about 300 motorcycles as the result of a raid carried out every night to keep the solemnity of worship of Muslims. 

Banjarmasin Police Chief Kombes Suharyono said on Tuesday, every night he always asks police personnel to carry out law enforcement on wild race. 

"We take firm action of wild racing, bike caught immediate detained and indirectly give back to riders in a certain time," he said. 

According to him, the locations of constantly monitored of wild race are around Kayu Tangi, Jalan Ahmad Yani, Kampung Melayu, and some residential locations in the city of Banjarmasin. 

Of the operation, he said, every day officers arrest about 50 to 75 vehicles. Even as the number of motorcycles on hold, now parking lot at the Banjarmasin Police Headquarters insufficient so deposited at sector police. 

"I have called for the people who his motorcycle detained, and has completed his licences, please complete the appropriate provisions to the Police," he said.
