Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Commander of Korem 101/Antasari South Kalimantan Colonel Suharjono said 820 TNI soldiers were deployed to guard the Idul Fitri 1435 Hijri, corresponding requests from South Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda). 


"To safeguard the flow of Idul Fitri (mudik) travellers, we had coordinated with the Polda," he said when he joined iftar in South Kalimantan Polda Headquarters on Thursday. 

The whole of the soldiers will be involved in securing the points in traffic flows that are less safe, for land and sea and air transportation, so that travelers who want to celebrate Idul Fitri in his hometown may feel more secure and safely to the destination. 

"Similarly, to whom do not mudik (go hometown), also feel safe in their homes, because the police and military personnel are always visible and alert," he said. 

Regarding security processes of 2014 Presidential Election which coincide with the atmosphere of Eid transport, he stated, the TNI also perform full alert as was told by TNI Commander General Maldoko. 

"To maintain the security of the region, including plenary sessions leading up to and implementation of provincial recapitulation of the vote scheduled for July 18, 2014, and later National on July 22 by the Commission, we are ready," he said.
