Amuntai, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The Amuntai (North Hulu Sungai) PDAM or taps water company found taps meter for customers in damaged condition in six subdistricts. 


"The damage cause trouble in detecting pipeline leaks, and the company is also experiencing loss," said Director of PDAM Amuntai, Muhammad Syafi`i on Thursday. 

Damaged meter occurred in Central Amuntai, North Amuntai, South Amuntai, Banjang, Sungai Pandan and Danau Panggang. If the meter is not immediately repaired, Amuntai taps losses will increase, especially since the water is not supplied to the customer. 

Syafi'i claimed the company is seeking immediate improvement, moreover in Ramadan and facing Eid when people need for clean water is increasing. 

In addition to the parent meter damaged in six subdistricts, Director of PDAM Amuntai admit, there are still many meter at the customer's home needs to be replaced, some of them were damaged, many of them difficult to read the amount of usage. 

HSU taps are already using android system to be more accurate in reading of the meter, so that through this system the water use by the customer can be measured by a barometer that is already stored in the computer. 

However, due to limitations of company, homes meter damaged yet can only parly be rehabilitated, so as to payment calculated manually by the officer taps that come to customers' homes.
