Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The cement company PT Indocement Tunggal Prakasa Tbk (ITP), Tarjun, Kotabaru district, South Kalimantan , recruited 105 children from poor families of the Desa Binaan under its assistance to foster care.

Corporate Social Responsibility Section Head Indocement Plant Tarjun, Yanuar Arif said on Tuesday Indocement foster children who were recruited from students coming from poor families, including orphans, and dropping out of school in order to send them back to school.

"The company will finance as needed for education, including school uniforms, shoes, bags, books including when there is more in school funding for extra-curricular activities," he said.

Some of the rationale for conducting this activity, because the company wants to give special attention to children from poor families, to get the right education like other children. 

Besides it fosters the spirit of learning better and more useful for themself, also useful for the society and towards a better future.

" The program also foster children to success of government programs in the nine-year compulsory education, and in terms of improving the quality of education and human resources programs at once involvement largest cement producer in the MDGs (Millennium Development Goals) 2014," he added.

He added, in order to avoid malnutrition for the children of rural, Indocement also helped supplementary feeding for school children (PMTAS) , as many as 1,991 packets.
