The Tabalong District Government will provide capital assistance for traders during the holy month of Ramadhan from the district, sub-district, to village level.


Regent Anang Syakhfiani said, even though the usual Ramadan Bazaar will be abolished this year, but merchants are allowed to sell at their respective homes on in place that do not cause crowds of peole.

"Please sell during Ramadhan and the local government will provide capital assistance," Anang said in Tanjung, Tuesday.

At the district level, capital assistance amounts to Rp1 million, sub-district Rp750 thousand and village Rp500 thousand.

Anang suggested traders to use courier service to deliver orders in anticipating of the spread of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Couriers will also get Direct Cash Assistance (BTL) of Rp600 thousand at the district level, Rp500 thousand at the sub-district level, and Rp400 thousand at the village level.

"We also prepare food assistance for motorcycle taxi drivers ahead of Ramadhan and lebaran (Idul Fitri)," Anang explained.

Meanwhile, based on the meeting of three pillars plus the district office of Religious Affairs Ministry and community health center (puskesmas) spraying of disinfectant will be carried out a day before (H-1) Ramadhan in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"We must maintain that the coronavirus local transmission doest not occur, thus we need prevention efforts, such as spraying disinfectant," Anang pointed out.

In additon, residents are asked to comply with all rules from the government, such as keeping social distance, washing hands with soap, and always wearing mask.
