The Tapin District Government will prepare land to be used as a funeral for residents who die due to being infected with COVID-19.
Tapin Regent HM Arifin Arpan said, the circulation of video of public rejection of funeral of residents infected with coronavirus, made him think of providing burial site.
“Yes, with the video of rejection, we thought of providing a burial site,” said the regent when met at his residence on Tuesday night (April 7, 2020).
Concerning the location, he and his team will conduct a search first, certainly not in urban areas and far from settlement. “We firstly find the location, of course it must be far from the settlement so as not to create anxiety or pros and cons among citizens,” he said again.
The regent said, actually people do not need to worry if a resident dies as a result of COVID-19, because the funeral SOP must be applied to the body.
