Spokesperson of South Kalimantan COVID-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force HM Muslim said most of the confirmed patients of COVID-19 in South Kalimantan were infected from outside the area.


According to Muslim in Banjarbaru, Saturday (April 4, 2020), based on an epidemiological investigation conducted by the South Kalimantan Health team, the majority of patients confirmed positive were detected from an imported cluster or from outside South Kalimantan.

Patient Ulin 01, Ulin 10, Ulin 11, and Ulin 15, were the example. They contracted COVID-19 from the outer cluster of south Kalimantan.

While positive patient K1 and K2 detected contact with positive patient in South Kalimantan. “K1 was positive after contacted with Ulin 01, while K2 is still undergoing an epidemiological investigation,” Muslim said.

Likewise, the PDPs, on average have been detected of having made contact or trips outside South Kalimantan, such as Java.

“PDP Ulin 23 claimed to have just travel from Malang, Ulin 24 from Jakarta, as well as Ulin 28 and Ulin 29 have traveled outside South Kalimantan,” Muslim pointed out.

Meanwhile, based on data from the South Kalimantan COVID-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force on April 4, 2020 at about 10.00 a.m., PDP in the province increased by four.

Previously, Friday (April 3) afternoon, PDP was 6, while positive patients confirmed were six and two others underwent self-isolation at home.

The PDP came from Banjarmasin 6 people, Barito Kuala 2, Tabalong 1, and Tapin 1.

While the number of Person Under Monitoring (ODP) is 1.382 people.

Muslim also announced the result of the laboratory that four PDPs treated at the Banjarmasin Ulin Regional General Hospital were declared negative, their condition improved, so they had been sent home.
