Tanahlaut, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Residents of the village of Kuala Tambangan can not go to sea, while 22 of their homes ravaged by tornados that accompanied sea storm.

"A whirlwind destroyed 22 homes of our citizens," said M Zaini, the Kuala Tambangan Village chief, Takisung subdistrict, Tanahlaut District, South Kalimantan, Monday (18/11).

Tornado strike Kuala Tambangan village on Monday (18/11) at 8:45 am and destroyed 22 houses. Nine homes were severely damaged, five houses moderately damaged and 8 others were slightly damaged. One of them belongs to Rani, which left the floor alone.

Before the tornado, the storm has hit the village area since Sunday (17/11) afternoon, that average of citizen could not fishing for their living to the sea.

The tornado raging suddenly shocking villagers, who were in their house. They were running out to save themselves.

"Our loss can not count yet, we're currently garner support from other people who are not affected to help them," said M Zaini.

Currently the victims were accommodated in the homes of other residents who were not affected by the disaster.
